Meet the Staff
Administrative Staff –Ligia Sekayouma, Administrator- Ligia has been an Administrator of Montessori Schools in the Portland metropolitan area for over 8 years. She comes to our community with a great knowledge of early childhood programs that follow the Montessori methods and philosophy. Ligia's experience is well rounded working with corporate, privately held, and non-profit schools. While leading Greenstone Montessori she hopes to build a strong sustainable community. When not administrating, Ligia loves spending time with her precious daughter Rainn, who is a primary Montessori graduate. This is Ligia’s first year with Greenstone. –Amber Sayle, Children's House Guide- Amber holds an AMI diploma from the Montessori Institute Northwest in Portland, Oregon. Amber has previously worked in a Montessori School in Las Vegas and did her practice teaching at SunGarden Montessori Ctr. in West Linn. During her off time she enjoys traveling and parenting her young toddler son, Orson. Amber is excited to join Greenstone and be part of the Molalla community. This is Amber’s first year with Greenstone. –Crystal Pierce, Children's House Assistant- Crystal has just purchased a home in Molalla with her husband. She is previously from Portland. She has been working in Insurance but gained her skills with children by providing support at her church with their youngest members. This is Crystal second year as an assistant for Greenstone Montessori School.
–Abby Nartker, Board President/Founder- In 2005, Abby, with the support of her family, started Greenstone Montessori and was the Head of School for three years. She is the mother of two school-aged daughters, Montana & Victoria. When Montana was ready for preschool, Abby observed at Sungarden Montessori in Oregon City and fell in love. Never before had she seen children so engaged with their work and in a peaceful environment. Her children have attended Greenstone for the past three years and are now older and need to move on beyond Greenstone. As Board President, Abby will help maintain the vision for bringing Montessori education to this community and supporting the overall growth and longevity of Greenstone. –Sergio Molina, Vice President- Originally from Columbia, Sergio has been residing in Molalla since 1990. He shares a home with his beautiful wife Irene and two just as beautiful daughters Annika and Rebecca. Annika currently attends Greeenstone and Rebecca will follow shortly. Sergio was attracted to Montessori when he observed and saw how children were connected to the environment. –Heather Border, Treasurer- Heather has been a Greenstone parent since the school's inception in 2005. She has two children,who will both be attending Greenstone in the fall. Heather is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and works for a utility company in Portland as a corporate accountant. –Melinda Alexander, Secretary- Melinda is excited and proud to be a member of the Greenstone Montessori Board. She has a true love of the Montessori philosophy and always jumps at the chance to share it with others. Melinda is currently an assistant in an AMI recognized Montessori classroom. She has also has experience working in administration, as well as owning a small mural painting business. She looks forward to helping, shaping and guiding Greenstone, as well as positively influencing children and families within the Molalla community. –Mary Mueller, Grant Writer- Mary is an experienced Montessori Administrator. Currently she works as an outreach service coordinator to at risk first time parents in Lincoln county Oregon. She and her chef-husband enjoy all the benefits of living on the coast in Depoe Bay. Mary also enjoys spending time with her fabulous two daughters and three granddaughters soon to be four. Mary has 30+ yearsworking with Early Childhood families and looks forward to supporting the fiduciary stability of Greenstone. –Carly Migneault, AMI Representative- Carly is a trained A.M.I. Children’s House Guide. She is currently finishing her masters in Montessori education and teaching at Sundborn Montessori School in Albany, Oregon. Carly earned a BA from Flagler College in Fine Arts and stained glass restoration and an AMI primary diploma from the Montessori Institute Northwest. Her role within the board is to be the pedagogical support. She is thankful to stay connected to the school and to be working with a wonderful group of people who are all very in tune with the Montessori philosophy and our children’s future. Carly was also the primary guide at Greenstone Montessori for the school year 2007-2008. |
