• Auction in Februrary - Donations Needed
  The auction is quickly approaching but we still have time to make this a successful event! Our main priority at this time is Donations! Some of you have offered to solicit local and regional businesses, while some have volunteered services or contacting last year's donors. We thank you for those who have helped out to-date, but we still need volunteers. Contact Kathleen Campos, Executive Director of the Open Montessori Intiative.

• Community Outreach - Silverton
  On Saturday, January 26th we will be hosting a community outreach in Silverton to introduce: What is Montessori Education and what Greenstone has to offer? We do need specific RSVPs to know how many to set up for and if they will need childcare. Please hand out the flyer to people you know; if you would like printed copies please stop by the office!

• Celebration of Light Fundraiser
  On Friday, January 18th, there will be a Celebration of Light Fundraiser put on by our local Montessori Training Center (where Carly trained)!  This will be at The North Star Ballroom at 635 N. Killingsworth Court in Portland. It is a fun adult evening out and if anyone would like to join me please let me know! ~ Abby

• Community Accords
  Thank you to the families who participated in our Community Accords Weekend. With the support and help from our gracious facilitator, Linda Wilson, this Community Accords document has truly become our voice and our visions.

• Yahoo Group for Parents
  The Greenstone Community group on Yahoo, a private collaboration space for parent, has been updated with a calendar of local and social events. Take a gander, sign up and introduce yourself and your family to the group.

• Parent Handbook Updated
  We've recently updated our Parent Handbook for the 2007-08 school year.
• School Starts Soon!
  The first day of school for the Elementary Class is September 4th. The first day of school for the Children's House is specific to your child.
• Montessori 100
  We are excited about our upcoming centenary celebration, renamed: Montessori 100. At the www.montessori100.com website, you will get an idea of what events and exhibits will be happening in Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Oregon on September 30th. We hope you will be able to attend this once-in-a lifetime event for those who support Montessori education!
